
How does Soft Telecom charge for the software?Customers have the option of paying either a once-off licence fee or a monthly subscription, both of which are based on the number of users of the system. Please call us for more information on this. Are there any other hidden costs?No! Vox Office is a complete package so ALL features you read about come as standard. Can I supply my own handsets?Yes! Vox Office will work with any SIP compliant device and we are happy to recommend the right handset for your particular requirements. We can also provide you with handsets as part of the package. Will Soft Telecom install the solution for me?Yes! Soft Telecom offers a full turn-key service including exact needs assessment, project planning and system roll-out. We have several years experience replacing old phone systems with the next generation of IP PBX’s. The scope of the project may include working with your telephone company and IT department as well as staff training to ensure a smooth implementation process. How does Soft Telecom support Vox Office?Generally customers provide us with remote access to their PBX. This means we can monitor them and assist with configuration changes. Connections can be run over a VPN or use a firewall policy to allow our own network access in Dublin. Each new customer gets 90 days free support with the option of entering into a support agreement after this period. What about Software updates?Soft Telecom remotely updates your PBX using our software update service. This means that new features are automatically made available to you. Are there many other companies using Vox Office?Yes! We have a fast growing customer base. What about Fax machines and other analogue devices?ATAs (Analogue Telephone Adaptors) allow you to convert SIP or VoIP signals back to traditional analogue signals. This means you can continue to use old telephones or fax machines with the new system. They are inexpensive and easy to setup. Will Soft Telecom install and setup the Vox Office application?For customers who do not require a full turn key service, Soft Telecom will build and test a PBX in-house prior to delivery to client premises. Can I supply my own server?Yes you can. We normally recommend a mid range Xeon server with Raid-5 and a second power supply. Alternatively we can provide the server and so bundle the package complete with installation. Is there a backup option?Each night the Vox database is backed up so in the unlikely event of a problem, we can restore the system quickly. Can I have a backup server?Yes! Soft Telecom has recently introduced a fail over solution for mission critical sites. Each and every transaction on the main server is mirrored to the backup server in real time. Should the worst happen then the backup server will take over with little or no downtime. Please call for more information on this product. Does Vox Office scale?Yes! For large enterprise installations, customers have the option of
moving components of the service to separate servers. For example, you
may wish to move the central DB service to its own server. Each install
is treated on its own merits and Soft Telecom works closely with customers
