The success of Asterisk is due in no small measure to the incredible versatility of the platform. It can be used as the basis for standalone PBXs, gateways, voicemail and IVR solutions or indeed residential broadband telephony services.
At Soft Telecom, we have devoted a great deal of time and energy to developing our VOX Office commercial PBX product. This is to an extent an off-the-shelf product although it differs from any other PBX we know of because it comes with our undertaking to deliver new features to existing customers as they are introduced.
However, we also recognise that the application of Asterisk goes far beyond commercial PBXs and for that reason we have established a custom development division to work with clients requiring bespoke applications. We start from the belief that once voice is data anything is possible and work from there.
These custom solutions are many and varied. They can be special features required in what would otherwise be a standard VOX Office deployment. Or at the other end of the spectrum, the development of a complete residential broadband solution including software, hardware, networking services and design for a major telecoms operator.
Our skill and expertise in delivering Asterisk-based solutions is probably unmatched by any company in Europe. We are the first European company to be awarded the prestigious, Premium Partner status by Digium Corporation and to date the only one with this accreditation.
Our approach to custom development is to try to deliver value to our clients so that their decision making process is simple. If we are doing our job properly we should be saving our clients money not costing them money.
