Under the first tab the general device details are added as follows:
Name: Is the identifying title to be given to the device, can simply device1 or span1 etc.
Language: Each channel has a default language code that affects which language version of
pre-recorded sounds Asterisk uses for this channel.
Span Number: Identifies each zap device as a unique span. This begins at 1, and should go
up one integer at a time. You may NOT have two spans with the same span number.
Group Number: Allows one or more devices to be setup as a channel group for dial
purposes.
Switch Type: Sets the type of PRI switch being used.
PRI Dial Plan: Sets an option required for some (rare) switches that require a dial plan
parameter to be passed. This option is ignored by most PRI switches. It may be necessary on
a few pieces of hardware.
