PBX Objects
VoxOffice™ 2.5.5
PBX Server Administration
The first tab, User, lets you record basic information about the user and allocate that user
to a particular Virtual PBX. The voicemail checkbox allows the user to enable or disable
voicemail for this user. (Note: the Apply button will not become active until the new user is
given an Extension number in the Extension tab pop-up).
Once the basic user information has been entered, click on the SIP tab. The following pop-
up opens.

The SIP login field will automatically take the format ‘firstname.secondname’ from the
User tab. The password is set to ‘password’ by default but should be changed.
In the Qualify drop-down field, the options are yes/no. Choosing yes means Asterisk will
poll the user’s handset to ensure availability before sending calls. However, its important
to be aware that selecting this feature does create an additional overhead for the server.
Use NAT is checked if the handset is on a different subnet to the PBX. This is important for
remote users such as home workers or staff who are on the road.
Checking the call limit box restricts the user to one inbound and one outbound call at a
time. Ideally this should be left un-checked; depending on whether or not the handset
supports call-waiting.
The ‘shadow’ box should be left unchecked.
The DTMF combo, allows the dtmf mode to be set per user.
Once SIP login is completed, click on the Extensions tab. The following pop-up opens.
