PBX Configuration
VoxOffice™ 2.5.5
PBX Server Administration
Commands
Clicking on System Information and selecting the Commands tab opens the following screen
Figure 11 - Server Commands
This screen lets the Administrator turn Realtime Updates on or off. Realtime
updates are one of the more powerful tools in VoxOffice. It is the module that
translates the changes made through the user interface into instructions to
Asterisk.  It is useful to turn off Realtime Updates when it is not necessary for every
change to be immediately implemented in Asterisk. Eg when a significant number of
changes are being made on a live PBX, they can be stored up and implemented
after close of business.
In addition, from time to time the PBX may need to be restarted. Clicking the
Restart Server button does just that.
VOX Address Book Writer particularly relates to Cisco 7940 and 7960 handsets.
Clicking on Publish Handset Address Book writes the internal VoxOffice address
book out to a web service. Once written out, the address book can be accessed
directly by the Cisco handsets.
