Least Cost Routing

Tariff
Each and every Billing Group has a Tariff associated with it. This tariff contains the cost
values applicable to all routes within the Billing Group.
Tariffs are broken down as follows:
Peak – Calls during Peak Times [Set in Settings]
Off-Peak - Between End and Start of Peak Time, applicable Monday through
Thursday
Weekend – Between End of Peak Time Friday and Start of Peak Time Monday
Min – A minimum rate to be applied
Flat – A fixed cost for a given call
Connection – Additional Fees to be added for connecting the call
Each Tariff also has an associated Channel. The order of the Tariff will determine how the
system tries to terminate the call. It will attempt to place the call via each Channel in the
order specified until such time as there are no-longer any available Channels to use.
Once a call has been placed successfully via a Channel it is these costs that are applied to
the call.
Clicking on the Least Cost Routing option opens a screen similar to the following;
