Realtime Manager
A powerful feature of Asterisk is its ability to communicate with other applications.
Realtime Manager provides the tools to set up accounts so that such applications can
communicate with Asterisk. The system ships with a default account already set up to allow
VOX Admin to communicate with Asterisk and configure the PBX as required. Flash Operator
panel is another example of an application which communicates directly with Asterisk.
Selecting the Realtime Manager and clicking the ‘Add’ icon launches the following screen.
Completing the Name and Secret fields and clicking apply sets up the new account.

Clicking on the Permissions tab opens the following pop-up screen.
