Call Termination

Channels
Channels contain the following information;
Name – used for identification purposes only
Type – Zap, IAX or SIP only
Dialling Parameters – any additional information required by the dial string to
complete the call
The system will always dial the number as…
<CHANNEL_TYPE>/<DIALLING_PARAM>/<NUMBER>
While Channels are an integral part of the termination system with Vox, they are
completely independent of it. Creating a Channel assumes that such a termination method
actually exists.
Clicking on Channels followed by the ‘Add’ icon opens the following pop-up.

Completing the details and clicking ‘OK’ adds the new trunk to the list.
All Channels are selectable and editable (including deletion) via the listing screen…
NOTE: The default channel is marked in bold and while it can be edited it can not be
deleted. Also, Channels that are currently associated with a Billing Group may not be
deleted.
